what would you call a hoodie dress? a droodie or a hess?

Our second rendition of a dress! the first was our cloud print dress back in about 2017. I designed this for our 2024 runway show at NYFW this coming February. The inspiration came from a just googling "hoodie dress." I found myself uninspired and wanted to throw a lil' GSS twist on one. The top is our Celestial Cut Hoodie which is 420gsm french terry cotton that fits boxy, wide, and has a slight crop that is intended to sit at the waist. The skirt portion is made of multiple stacking layers of rayon!

SIZING NOTES:

• First model is 5'3" wearing a Medium.
• Second model is 6'4" wearing a Medium.
• Go with your true size. Waist fitting is reliant on the hoodies taper, so if you have a celestial, we'd recommend going with the size you purchased. If you don't have one, we'd suggest going true hoodie size for the intended look. Sizing up will give more bagginess in the hoodie and sleeves but may add unwanted length to the dress.
