I think everyone at one point questions their existence or has some form of existential dread, for as long as I can remember I would stay awake in bed in the long hours of the night and just ponder silly little things about our place in the universe or what does it mean to be. In my early twenties I was in and out of depressive phases a lot, i've always blamed the fact that I had a hard time reconciling what my purpose in life was. I was going from shitty job to shitty job with no real goals or aspirations and I look back now and I appreciate it, I feel as though I was trying to fit myself into this box called "being an adult" and it's a really strange arbitrary box with no form or guidelines it's really frustrating to put yourself into something that everyone else seems to grasp but I just couldn't seem too. I appreciate the time I spent lost because it made me the person i am today and although I don't have everything figured out at least I know some of the things that don't work for me, i'm not a good deli worker, i'm not good at being on the phone for hours, doordash wasn't for me but it paid for some of my meals. I guess the point i'm trying to make is that it is okay to be lost and it is okay to not have things figured out, the cosmic timing is always right and you are exactly where you need to be. instead of stressing and suffering about what needs to be take a step back and appreciate where you are now, not everything has to make sense you can love and care and respect things freely without needing to justify anything. I phrase I heard a lot that really bothered me when I was younger was "it'll make sense when you're older" and man I hated that they were right about that, let things sort themselves out because at the end of the day what is the point? be kind to yourself.
