How To Give A Good Apology - Boxy Shirt

This shirt was made out of anger. I've been going to therapy I am on a journey of bettering myself and righting my wrongs I am by no means a perfect person I say this in order to preface the story I have to tell. A few weeks ago I got into an argument with my dad, I am relatively good at regulating my emotions, but I ended up storming out. I feel like my dad doesn't understand me, but I get it, he hasn't had the privileges I have had, I understand him. He's an old guy who has bottled things in for 50 years I want him to understand me and I am willing to put in the work for him but sometimes it gets frustrating. I don't want to bore you with the details, but I sent a text to my dad the night of me walking out, and I told him that I was sorry for walking out. I sat there reflecting in my bed post text, that there's a possibility that i will never get an apology from him for the hurt he has caused me and it causes me a lot of turmoil but as much as I want that and as much as I need that I have learned to live without it. That night also got me thinking of all the apologies I never gave. I'm the villain in someone's story for sure, exs, old friends and one day I hope to find the strength to right those wrongs.
